With a virtual card reader, you can choose to completely eliminate a physical product at the door. All you need is a door central and a QR code.

When a person wants to pass, all that’s needed is a mobile phone, not even an app is needed. And since most people always carry their mobile phones with them today, this can be an incredibly cost-effective solution.

This is how you open a door with STEP Mobile opening with virtual card reader
  1. Open the camera on your mobile phone and point it at the QR code placed at the door.
  2. Click on the link that appears on the mobile screen.
  3. A virtual card reader will then appear on your screen.
  4. Enter your personal code on the keypad.
  5. When the code is approved, the door will unlock.

So, no app or anything else needs to be downloaded to the mobile phone, all that’s needed is a mobile phone that can read QR codes.

Create temporary codes for visitors

Will a visitor, supplier, or craftsman come at a certain time? No problem. If you know that an unauthorized person is coming, they can be assigned a temporary code that is only valid for a certain time interval.

The visitor then gains access by scanning the QR code next to the door and can then enter their temporary code.

When the time interval expires, the code becomes invalid.

The administrator of the system creates the temporary codes and determines the time interval in the admin platform.

Build a new or complement your existing system

You can choose to build an entirely new access system based on virtual solutions. You can also choose to complement your existing system with virtual card readers on selected doors.
