The answering unit is very easy to use. When a visitor selects which contact they want to call, the call is connected directly to the answering unit and/or your mobile phone. The answer unit’s large display then clearly shows who is calling. With a simple button press, you can then choose to let the person in, or deny access.
Installing one or more answering units significantly increases security throughout the property. With high definition video from the intercom, you get a clear picture of who is outside and can easily communicate with them without having to open the door. This reduces the risk of unwanted visits as uninvited guests can thus quickly be denied entry.
STEP Answering unit has a black, minimalist design with a screen size of 7″ and touch display for easy interaction. The answer unit’s slim design gives a stylish impression and fits perfectly in both homes and workplaces.
The built-in microphone and speaker ensure a very clear sound. Video is streamed in full HD format from the intercom, which gives a clear picture of the visitors.

The answering unit is completely IP-based, which provides a quick and easy installation. It is of course fully integrated with StepLock Access’s other range, for example the smart additional service STEP Booking System.
All administration takes place easily and securely in our cloud-based admin platform. This is where you, the administrator, add and remove users, manage access rights or assign temporary permissions, etc.
As the platform is cloud-based, the entire system can be managed easily and securely – anywhere, anytime and on any device.
This means that you can, for example, enter new devices or users from your computer at home at the kitchen table in the morning, in order to distribute a temporary authorization from your mobile phone in the training hall in the evening.
