StepLock’s app for the access control system collects several important features and has four main functions that allow you to:
Regardless of which access solutions from StepLock Access you choose, the app is included for an unlimited number of users. The app is free and available for both iPhone and Android.
All administration of the app takes place in the system’s cloud-based admin platform. This is where you, as the administrator, assign access to different doors, set any alarm zones, and adjust the booking system if available. You can also add information that you want to communicate to users, such as PDF files with information, contact details, or links to various websites.
The app is very easy to use. Here we explain in more detail the four different icons in the menu.
Under this icon, all the doors you have permission to unlock are displayed.
Under “Favorites,” you can choose to enter the doors you want to see first. In the example, we have selected two doors as favorites. Here, you can quickly get an overview and see that the relevant doors are closed and locked, and the status of any alarms.
If you want to unlock one of the doors, simply click on the button with a padlock symbol, and the door will unlock. The door will automatically return to the locked position afterward.

To edit the favorites list, click on “Edit” in the top right corner. By clicking in and out of the stars on the right side, you select which door environments to display in the favorites list.
A filled yellow star means the door is selected and appears on the list, while an unfilled star means it is not selected. Save your choices by clicking “Done” in the top right corner.
If you prefer to see all door environments on the same list, choose “All.”
Under this icon, all the zones you have permission to control are displayed, i.e., the zones where you can arm and disarm alarms.
Under “Favorites,” you can choose to enter the alarm zones you want to see first. In the example, you can see that “Alarm Zone 1” is disarmed.
If you want to activate the alarm in this zone, simply click on the button with a padlock symbol. Then the alarm in the selected zone will activate.
