Imagine you are on your way to a job interview for a new position at an exciting company. With nervous but determined steps, you approach the entrance, take a deep breath, and press your contact’s name on the intercom. On the third floor, a mobile phone starts ringing. Your contact picks up the phone and clearly sees on the screen that it’s you standing at the door and ringing. “Welcome, come up to the third floor!” she greets warmly and presses the opening button on her phone to unlock the door in the entrance.
The visit goes well. You breathe a sigh of relief, smile a little, and hop on your bike to ride home. When you reach the bike shed, you take out your phone from your pocket and scan the QR code to unlock the shed door. With the phone in hand, you park the bike and head towards the house’s entrance, simultaneously opening the StepLock Access app. “Unlock the door” appears on the screen. A press later, you hear the familiar click as the door unlocks before you open and step inside.

StepLock Access is very easy to install. Since the entire system is IP-based, all devices are connected to a standard data network via a network cable. The devices are seamlessly activated with their MAC address (the unique code that all devices capable of connecting to a network have).
You can choose to program and activate the devices and add all end-users even before the system is installed. This means that the system will be up and ready for use immediately after installation, saving both work hours and reducing investment for you as a property owner.
StepLock Access simplifies projection as the system requires very few devices.
You choose access solutions, door controllers, and STEP cables according to your needs. In addition to these, all that is required is a standard network cable connected to the property’s internet connection via a PoE switch. No other boxes, controllers, accessory cards, or servers are necessary. Not even a telephone subscription is required!
Network cable is currently the most cost-effective cable type compared to the bus cable required by many other access systems. The cost of a bus cable is often 4 times higher per meter. This, combined with favorable prices on our products, makes StepLock Access the most cost-effective system on the market.
If there is no internet connection or it seems impossible to lay cables in your property? No problem, just choose our devices that connect via 4G. All that is required is a power outlet with 24 V. SIM card is included as part of the solution.
